What’s this? It’s Christmas and Halloween in July as the Summer of Surreal continues with one of Burton’s most iconic cinematic contributions. With the talented Henry Selick in the director’s chair and frequent Burton collaborator Danny Elfman behind the film’s award-winning original music, Burton’s stop-motion masterpiece broke new ground, bringing dark German Expressionism inspired holiday vistas to life in a way few filmmakers ever had. Join us for evening of frightful and delightful cinematic magic among the stones. This is Halloween and This is Cinematery.

Cinematery is our annual outdoor summer film screenings. Held on the cemetery grounds, this one-of-a-kind event allows you to enjoy the ambiance of the cemetery after dark while taking in a classic film with friends and family. So pack your chairs or picnic blanket and whatever tasty treats you enjoy and plan to join us for an exclusive picnic at a gorgeous Washington landmark. Join us for an evening under the stars!

Feel free to bring your own beverages and food. Alcohol is permitted and will also be for sale. Keep in mind that all guests will be ID checked upon entry. We also recommend bringing your own blankets, low lying lawn chairs, etc. Please do NOT bring chairs that may obstruct the view of those behind you.

Gates open about an hour before sunset and the movie begins at sunset. Times are adjusted for earlier sundown times.

Reservations are required. The recommended donation is $10 per person, although you are welcome to give more.
