Cinematery is BACK!

We want people to enjoy the Cemetery at night, and we want to make sure we do it safely! So pack your chairs or picnic blanket and whatever tasty treats you enjoy and plan to join us for an exclusive picnic at a gorgeous Washington landmark. Join us for an evening under the stars!

This is the summer of  space movies – the not-too-serious kind. Explore the galaxy with some laughter and tears as we enjoy fun, family friendly (for the most part) movies that take place in outer space. This outdoor summer movie series offers audiences one of the most magical nightlife entertainment experiences in Washington, DC.

Films will be featured on the first friday of each month this summer. Join us for the whole series!

  • June 3: E.T. – The Extra-Terrestrial
  • July 1: Galaxy Quest
  • August 5: The Hitckhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
  • September 2: Spaceballs

The recommended donation is $10 per person, although you are welcome to give more. Tickets ARE REQUIRED. Tickets are limited to 250 people. The movie will begin at sunset, around 8:30 pm. Gates will open at 7p.m.

All donations go towards our 501(c)3 nonprofit and the continued preservation of our historic cemetery.

Our rain date for this event is the following Friday for each date: June 10, July 8, August 12, September 9

Guidelines:
Social distancing will be enforced
Face coverings are required at entry and exit, and strongly encouraged elsewhere.
No dogs, please!
Although it is an outdoor space, no smoking while seated around others watching the movie.
In case of severe weather, please watch the website and our social media accounts for updated information about rain delays or cancellations. Our rain date will be the following Friday.

In the event of closure by the DC government, you will have the option to donate the proceeds, transfer it to a future Cinematery event or refund your ticket.
