Our Mission

Historic Congressional Cemetery seeks to preserve, promote, and protect our historic and active burial ground. We respectfully celebrate the legacy of those interred here through education, historic preservation, community engagement, and environmental stewardship.

Our Vision

To be a nationally recognized active cemetery that creates meaningful education programs about the history it preserves, provides innovative opportunities for community engagement with its neighbors and visitors, and offers a unique green space for respite and reflection that fully embraces the cycle of life.
