Congressional Cemetery is happy to welcome local playwright Bob Bartlett back to the cemetery after Lýkos Ánthrōpos last fall. Please see below for more information about the play from Bartlett and how to purchase tickets.

The author of the infamous novel faces her creations and reckons with the lasting impact of her radical and horrific story in this new retelling of Frankenstein. “A poetically arresting journey into one of the greatest horrors of all time.”

Tickets and Timeline:

Attendees will be checked-in at the front gate, which is located at 1801 E Street, SE. You do not need to bring a printed ticket to the gate: if you have purchased a ticket, your name will be on our registration list.

This performance will happen in the Chapel at Congressional Cemetery, which is a brief walk from the entrance. Attendees will receive an email the day before their scheduled performance with reminders and updates. Seating is provided.

 

Getting to the Cemetery:

We strongly encourage public transportation to get to Congressional Cemetery. The closest metro station to Congressional Cemetery is Stadium Armory, located on the Orange/Blue/Silver lines. Bikes may be locked just outside the cemetery gate. There is limited street parking, but we advise visitors to closely read parking signs before finding a spot.

 

What to Know:

  • Please note that the Cemetery will remain open to off-leash dog walking during the performance.
  • There is no smoking permitted.
  • Please wear appropriate footwear as the Chapel is a brief walk from the front gate.
  • The performance runs 85 minutes with no intermission.
  • No onsite ticket sales (only advanced/online ticket sales).
  • Adult content.
