Congressional Cemetery is happy to welcome more immersive theater to the grounds of the cemetery this fall. As supporters of the arts, the Cemetery is proud to host local playwright Bob Bartlett to the cemetery for 16 productions of his play Lýkos Ánthrōpos. Please see below for more information about the play from Bartlett and how to purchase tickets.

Please note, Congressional Cemetery is the venue for this event. The cemetery is not involved in the play’s content, writing, ticketing administration/sales, and day of show check in. What to know …

  • this performance is outdoors in the cemetery
  • dress warmly
  • bring a fold up chair or blanket and a lantern or flashlight
  • after parking near the cemetery, meet our host at the entrance of the cemetery for a gentle five-minute walk to the performance location
  • the play runs 75 minutes with no intermission
  • no onsite ticket sales (only advanced/online ticket sales)
  • not suitable for children
