History comes alive at Congressional Cemetery. HCC is one of the only known cemeteries in the world with a dedicated LGBTQ+ section. To explore LGBTQ+ history and gay legacy in the nation’s capital, we hope that you will join us for a very special WorldPride edition of our LGBTQ+ tour. Find out who is buried here, including many LGBTQ+ activists, and learn about DC’s role in shaping the contours of the gay rights movement.
Please come prepared with comfortable clothing and shoes, as the tours often stray from the main paths. Meet by the gatehouse at the cemetery entrance.
Reservations are required. You do not have to bring the ticket with you. Comfortable attire is recommended. The tour is rain or shine.
