Kick off the Summer of Surreal with Burton’s modern re-imagining, and sequel, to Lewis Carrol’s all time classic fable. Featuring Burton regulars Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter and Helena Bonham-Carter as the Red Queen, this version of Alice in Wonderland delighted and dazzled audiences with it’s surrealist visuals and twisted take on the environs of Wonderland. Whether you are seeing it for the first time or just want to visit the Cheshire cat again, this cinematic Cinematery showing is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
Cinematery is our annual outdoor summer film screenings. Held on the cemetery grounds, this one-of-a-kind event allows you to enjoy the ambiance of the cemetery after dark while taking in a classic film with friends and family. So pack your chairs or picnic blanket and whatever tasty treats you enjoy and plan to join us for an exclusive picnic at a gorgeous Washington landmark. Join us for an evening under the stars!
Feel free to bring your own beverages and food. Alcohol is permitted and will also be for sale. Keep in mind that all guests will be ID checked upon entry. We also recommend bringing your own blankets, low lying lawn chairs, etc. Please do NOT bring chairs that may obstruct the view of those behind you.
Gates open about an hour before sunset and the movie begins at sunset. Times are adjusted for earlier sundown times.
