This Saturday’s topic is: Dying while Fat (special guest Isabella Carr)
Our special drop in guest will be Isabella Carr, Founder, Deathfat Doula. As always when we have a special guest for Q&A this is from 10:30am to 11:30am. You are welcome, of course, to arrive or leave any time during Death Doula Day office hours 10am until noon.
Yes, our topic’s use of the word “Fat” may be surprising but it is deliberate. Our guest will help us understand why she uses that term and also the term “Deathfat.” Isabella, who is currently an MDiv Candidate at Harvard Divinity School, offers workshops on “Deathfat, a theological and practical approach to end-of-life care for fat people.”
If you have ever wondered about how we care for the dying and offer deathcare for larger bodies in our country, this is an opportunity to ask questions and learn from Isabella.
All are welcome. In fact, bring a family member or friend! Do rsvp so we can have enough chairs and snacks prepared.
The conference room is, cosy, so please do rsvp by clicking HERE.
