TOPIC FOR THIS WEEK: HUMOR AND DEATH
Stop by any time during our open hours 10am-1pm but between 11 and noon we will have a special guest around the table: Kathy Flann, whose essay Why Was I So Full of Jokes When My Dad Died? made us laugh and think. Why is humor so often part of our response to loss and grief? Isn’t death just SAD? Isn’t death to be avoided and feared? What’s funny about dying and death?
FREE event. Cake and tea provided. If you can donate a few dollars to our amazing host, Historic Congressional Cemetery, well please and thank you!

We are so pleased you can join us for this week’s Death Doula Day at Congressional Cemetery! RSVP is appreciated but not required to attend. Office hours from 10am-1pm . Stop by to talk about death and dying, work on your obituary,  write down your end of life wishes, play card games, meet other people trying to be “death positive” in the face of mortality.

For more dates and activities check the HCC website and we invite you to sign up for our mailing list: Death Doula Days at HCC
