Women’s contributions during the American Civil War were substantial. Thousands on both sides served as nurses, while others manufactured ammunition. Some even took up arms in the battle between North and South.

Historic Congressional Cemetery is the final resting place of numerous women who had active roles in the deadliest American war. This Women’s History Month, Congressional is partnering with the Clara Barton Missing Soldiers Office Museum to highlight some of these interred residents. This jointly-operated walking tour will be held at Congressional Cemetery on Sunday, March 22nd at 1 p.m.

Tickets are only $10 and all proceeds benefit both non-profits.

Space is limited so be sure to reserve your spot today!
