Meet Jim
Jim has been a DC resident since 1999. He relocated to the Nation’s Capital following a career in wine, spirit and beer distribution to become a freelance journalist and author. At the same time, he pursued a passion for gardening, improving Capitol Hill tree boxes and pocket parks. That community service spirit led him to found Guerrilla Gardeners of Washington DC, an all-volunteer nonprofit that improves public spaces and trains young people facing housing insecurity in landscaping. Jim joins Historic Congressional Cemetery after having participated in the Adopt-a-Plot program for several years.
