Meet Sage

Sage is a passionate gardener with a background in sustainable and regenerative urban farming, traditional ecological knowledge and permaculture. She earned her certification in Regenerative Agriculture from Common Good City Farm in 2023, shortly after graduating from the Eco City Beginner Farmer Training Program. Sage worked the soil for two growing seasons at a unique urban farm focused on sustainability and the intersection of food and social justice, where she inspired and educated others about the world of green community-based work.

For the past two years, Sage has presented workshops on plant healing at local events and conferences. She is excited to continue to expand her green offerings to the wider community by spearheading the development of garden programs at Congressional Cemetery. Sage, Garden Program Coordinator, wishes to bring native plants, a cottage aesthetic, and an appreciation for how indigenous ways of stewarding land promote biodiversity, climate change resilience and sustainability to these historic gardens. Follow her @theurbanfarmwitch for plant-based resource sharing with a focus on indigenous and feminist gardening practices.
