Event Series Event Series: Sunday Strolls Guided Tour

For years, Congressional Cemetery’s docents have consistently offered free Saturday tours of Congressional Cemetery. Now, due to the breadth of expertise and knowledge of our volunteer docents, we’re happy to add Sunday tours this April through June and September through October.
Our Sunday tours will begin at 1 pm, and will be a more informal look at the history of Congressional Cemetery. Please be aware that the cemetery is open to dogs on Sundays, so please only visit if you’re comfortable with off-leash pups. Docents may pick their favorite stories or give a specialized tour, rather than giving a standard broad look at the cemetery’s history. Join us for a grab bag of history and lore!

Both Saturday and Sunday tours continue to be free, reservations are now required. Tours are limited to 9 people. No walk-ups allowed. Face coverings are required to be worn by all attendees over the age of two for the entire tour. If you do not have a face covering, one will be provided to you. If you refuse to wear a face covering, you will not be permitted to join the tour. Sunday tours begin at 1 pm, and comfortable attire is strongly encouraged. Visitors may meet docents at the front gate. PLEASE BRING YOUR TICKET WITH YOU
