As a bonus, we will be showing a movie at our picnic. This is the summer of classic movie monsters. Emerging from the shadows, the swamps, and the science labs, these iconic figures are the terrifying misfits and fiends that have inspired generations of moviegoers. They are the hallowed icons of horror – the original Monsters – who’ve given shape and meaning to that word, as much as to humanity’s dark fears and frailties. Yet, whether they be accurst, misguided, or misunderstood, monsters are also undeniably captivating, and when you watch the classic Universal Pictures films like DraculaFrankensteinThe Mummy,  and The Wolf Man, you see that it‘s not only their incomparable stories, but their unforgettable images, that have made them such powerful symbols.

This month, the movie will be “The Mummy” from 1932 – starring Boris Karloff.

This outdoor summer movie series offers audiences one of the most magical nightlife entertainment experiences in Washington, DC. Come early to be a part of the fun!

The movie will begin at sunset, around 8:30 pm. Gates open at 6:30 pm.

All donations go towards our 501(c)3 nonprofit and the continued preservation of our historic cemetery.

Social distancing will be enforced
Face coverings are required at entry and exit, and strongly encouraged elsewhere.
