Blog posts are like New Year’s resolutions. It all starts out with the best of intentions, but before you know it’s easy to let things slide a bit. In our case, we let a few weeks or, er, months build up between blog posts. To make up for it, here’s a brief recap of Congressional Cemetery’s 2014 through pictures. A big hearty thanks goes out to all of our donors, volunteers, visitors and dog walkers who help make Congressional Cemetery such a special place. We couldn’t do it without you. And for 2015, our New Year’s resolution is to write more frequent blog posts. Just forget what we said in the first sentence.
Amongst the Headstones: Buildings, Grounds & Preservation
If you’re out and about the grounds, you’ll probably notice a few improvements and additions. From the restoration of our mausoleum roofs to the arrival of a brand new obelisk, much has changed and improved on the grounds.
